Ponderosa Pines

These amazing ponderosa pines actually live in Hood River, but I took some liberties with the composition and added in a basalt canyon. For masking I used a pass of liquid rubber then sprayed the sky around the trees with a bit of a halo effect. The mounting is a bit more intricate than I typically do with a patina on some cold-rolled steel, which is notched into the frame itself. It was really fun to make this one and experiment with the open triangle back, as opposed to a cable, or a French cleat for presentation.
